Asiasoft Gamefest 2009 Malaysia
5th June 2009, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Asiasoft Malaysia (AS Online Sdn. Bhd.), the Online Entertainment Leader in Southeast Asia will host its first Asiasoft GameFest 2009 (ASGF09) in Malaysia and a MapleStory charity auction to raise funds for a local charity. The carnival themed game event featuring all Asiasoft games under one roof will be held from 5th to 7th June 2009 at Ground Floor High Street at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Bandar Utama.
The three-day mega gaming event kicks off with the official launch of Asiasoft GameFest 2009, featuring all Asiasoft game titles, including new upcoming ones - “MapleStory Episode 2” with its Chinese version and “Yulgang Online”. There will also be the exciting sneak preview of a brand new epic battle saga (based on the famous Chinese epic, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms) “Warriors of the 3 Kingdoms”.
“Yulgang Online” is the latest Oriental Martial Arts MMORPG that Asiasoft signed with MGAME Corporation recently. Based on the most popular comic series in Korea “Yul Hyul Gang Ho” (热血江湖), the game features brilliant gameplay options, cartoon-like characters and action-packed storylines which are constantly updated to provide refreshing gameplay and experience for players. On-the-spot Close Beta Test (CBT) registrations will commence with exclusive Yulgang premiums to be given out.
Among the highlights of ASGF09 are “MapleStory”, the most popular online MMORPG in Singapore and Malaysia, will unleash its never-before-seen Fun Crazy Experience event for players to earn 10 times the normal experience for each monster kill.
All eyes would be on the SuddenAttackSEA Team Tournament where the best First Person Shooter (FPS) teams from Korea, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia will go head-on in gunning up to RM20,000 worth of cash from Asiasoft and prizes from our esteemed partner, Steelseries.
Dance enthusiasts will be glad to flaunt their swagger by participating in “Audition Clubber of the Year” Battle. The top three winners will be sent to Korea, representing Malaysia at the premier e-sports event, the e-Stars Korea 2009 in the Asia Championship Club Audition.
Other activities in the Asiasoft GameFest include a series of Asiasoft game competitions, namely the “CABAL Forbidden Island Dungeon Run”, the “Rappelz Team Dungeon Raid Tournament”, the “Sudden Attack All Star Masters” and the “MapleStory Malaysian World Newbie”. Players will be putting their best to top the respective game championships and win attractive cash prizes and exclusive premiums. There will be three lucky draw sessions per day, ending with a Grand Lucky Draw on Sunday with an exclusive MapleStory Episode 2 skinned SL300 Lenovo ThinkPad sponsored by Lenovo that will be up for grabs.
Amidst the celebration and competitions, there will be a MapleStory charity auction of special in-game items for the gaming community to bid generously. Funds will proceed to a local charity which will be announced after the event.
